One of Denmark's leading suppliers of steel structures and supply chain solutions for industry, BSB Industry, has now taken a significant step into the US market. With the establishment of a new branch in the US, the company aims to strengthen its position and meet the growing demand from American customers.

“This is part of our strategy to expand our business and serve our customers locally. We have already established customer contacts in the US, and the increased demand and the need for local presence has made this an important parameter in the competition,” says CEO Morten Krusborg.

A complete local solution for the US market

BSB Industry's new US office offers a complete package covering everything from engineering to production, and by being able to produce locally, BSB Industry can reduce complexity and logistics challenges for its local customers.

“We need to be close to our customers in the sales phase, production, delivery and service. Being in the same time zone and physically close to the sites where our products are used minimizes freight costs, complexity and lead time, while ensuring high delivery reliability and quality,” explains Jeppe Hedeager, new Country Manager for USA.

USA: A growing market for green energy

The US is facing a massive expansion of green energy, with onshore wind playing a key role. Wind projects in the US are larger than those we know from Europe, and BSB Industry sees great potential here.

“We have over 20 years of experience in delivering complex steel and supply chain solutions to the wind industry. With our solid setup, which we have made scalable in recent years, we can now offer the same high quality and service in the US that our customers know from Europe. Our ISO certifications will of course continue, so we are fully certified,” says Morten Krusborg.

Strategic location and focus on local production

The Midwest location was strategically chosen based on the expectation that this area will see the largest expansion of onshore wind farms in the coming years. Additionally, the location provides access to a large pool of skilled factory workers in the US “rust belt”.

“To become the preferred partner in sustainable manufacturing, it is necessary to be in close dialog with customers and understand their needs and business culture. We do this best by being present in the market and working closely with customers locally, while creating local jobs and supporting the green transition,” says Jeppe Hedeager.

Next milestone on BSB Industry's growth journey

BSB Industry will celebrate its 25th anniversary in September 2025, and the establishment in the US marks an important milestone in the company's international growth journey.

“The company is now in a place where business is stable, but we see a natural movement towards internationalization, not just locally, but globally. The establishment in the US is a step in that strategy,” says Morten Krusborg.

“Open for Business” in the USA

BSB Industry sends a clear message to both current and potential customers in the US: “We are ‘Open for Business’ and ready to deliver complex steel and supply chain solutions to industry locally. We create value by reducing complexity for customers, delivering total solutions and supporting the local community and the green transition,” concludes Jeppe Hedeager.

With a clear strategy, solid experience and a dedicated local presence, BSB Industry is ready to take the US market by storm.
