Summer greetings from Per and Claus

The first six months of the year have offered many highlights, organizational changes and external challenges at BSB Group. Interim CEO Per Lyngaa and CFO Claus Iwersen focus on the most important of them in a summer greeting to the employees.

Organisational changes

In February, Teddy Norsgaard Jørgensen resigned as CEO. The recruitment of a new CEO is underway. Until the empty chair in the company is filled, board member Per Lyngaa has been appointed interim CEO.

As part of the strategic development of BSB Group, it has been important to us to integrate BSB Poland fully into the management team. Specifically, BSB Poland, with General Manager Przemysław Majewski and Financial Director Wioletta Dytkowska, has joined Group Management, where they, with insight and knowledge, contribute to the overall development of the company.

We want to strongly emphasize that it is essential that we operate as one unified company that acts and works according to the one and same strategy and to our common values and goals. We are equal and it is in this respect truly important that we all feel and have ownership of BSB. This is our key to continued positive developments.

The key to success

It is essential that we operate as one unified company that acts and works according to the one and same strategy and to our common values and goals. The war in Ukraine affects us all

The terrible war in Ukraine is affecting us all. Our thoughts go to the Ukrainian people especially and all their heroes who have taken up the fight against Putin's Russia.

For BSB, and many other companies around the world, the war has a number of derived effects, which we try every day to navigate to the best of our ability together with you and your colleagues.

We experience massive price increases on commodities, which fortunately have fallen slightly again, postponements and cancellations of wind turbine projects, interest rate increases, inflation and general price increases on all materials and electricity, gas and oil.

The war puts the focus on Europe's dependence on Russian gas, and fortunately this has led both politicians and ordinary people to raise the demand for alternative and sustainable energy solutions such as wind energy. In the long run, this will mean new and more business for BSB, and we are naturally pleased about that, even though it is on a sad background that this development is now being accelerated.

New wins keep us busy

We see a high level of activity and busy production lines at Torun. The same can be said of Vingen in Lunderskov, where we have recently, among other jobs well done, packed and shipped 100 Vestas containers to Taiwan. The laser department is busy like never before, while at the same time we register spare capacity at our machining center due to the postponement of wind turbine projects.

We stand on a strong economic foundation

Seen from a financial perspective, things are still going really well measured on the turnover. We register many wins from both new and existing customers.

Thank you for going all in

From the entire management team, we send you a big and warm thank you for your and your colleagues' ongoing efforts for the benefit of BSB. You are the heart of BSB Group and the whole foundation of the success that we achieve together.

Despite the organizational changes and bumps in the road, you continue to fight relentlessly for our common cause. You keep busy, take responsibility and handle all challenges with your very special eye for quality and orderliness. You are flexible and always stand ready to offer an extra effort when needed. You navigate safely in a working day and world that is characterized by rapid change.

We greatly appreciate your efforts, and we are grateful to have you as members of our strong team.

Now a well-deserved summer vacation is just around the corner. Enjoy your holiday whether it is to be held in Denmark, in Poland or abroad, under warmer skies.

We would like to wish you, your family and those you love a really good summer holiday.
