An opportunity that Lucas could not refuse

As a trained warehouse and logistics operator, Lucas Sørensen will specialize in warehouse management and various logistics processes such as supply, distribution, and procurement management.

The training takes 3 years and 4 months, alternating between school periods at EUC Syd in Aabenraa in Southern Jutland and practical experience at BSB Industry. The future warehouse and logistics operator apprentice is clearly excited about stocking his toolbox with new knowledge.

- I worked at BSB Industry during my gap year, and when the idea and offer of an apprenticeship came up, it was an opportunity for me to gain knowledge and development that I couldn't refuse. I think it's tops to develop my skills and get an education in a field I already have some acquaintance with, explains Lucas Sørensen, who believes that the education will open new doors to him.

- With an education as a warehouse and logistics operator, I expand my future opportunities both at BSB and in general. Additionally, it's a great chance to get an education in a place where I'm happy to be, and I look forward every single day to being surrounded by good colleagues who have a lot of experience that I can learn from, emphasizes Lucas Sørensen.

Training young people is a shared responsibility

At BSB Industry, Supply Center Manager Rafael K. Wojtczak is pleased that Lucas Sørensen has chosen a career path as a warehouse and logistics operator apprentice in the company.

- It's a success for BSB Industry that we at the Supply Center in Hammelev have both grown to a size and gained such a wide range of tasks that we can offer to be a training site and have a warehouse and logistics operator apprentice, says Rafael K. Wojtczak, who views the training as a benefit for both Lucas Sørensen and BSB Industry.

- With this education, Lucas gains skill development and a range of solid tools to manage warehouse and logistics processes, just as BSB Industry gains new current knowledge and lots of inspiration. At the same time, the apprenticeship contributes to supporting the important 'S' -  meaning the social responsibility factor - in our ESG development. We are confident that the apprenticeship will be value-creating for both BSB and Lucas, and we look forward to being part of his educational journey, emphasizes Rafael K. Wojtczak.
