The factory in Ciechocin now runs on 100 percent green energy

Nature is close to our hearts, and therefore we are proud that the production at our factory in Polish Ciechocin now runs on 100 percent green energy.

Cutting, machining and welding of steel, stainless steel and aluminum takes a lot of energy. For General Manager Przemysław Majewski, BSB Poland, replacing fossil fuels with green wind energy has been a crucial goal.

- In Poland, the smog concentration is one of the densest in Europe, and air pollution is alarmingly high. As a larger company, we have a responsibility to create a more sustainable production and reduce our CO2 emissions, says Przemysław Majewski.

- If we will use all contracted energy, which will probably be the case, we will reduce our CO2 omission by 1.136.800 kilo per year or more than 1.100 tons, elaborates the General Manager at BSB Poland.

Disaster is just around the corner

Together with his skilled colleagues, he searched for a long time for a Polish utility company that offers green solutions. The mission was eventually successful. It is Przemysław Majewski's hope that BSB Poland's initiative can help kick-start a movement in Poland that will push for cleaner air and a healthier environment.

- With our investment in green wind energy, we hope that we can inspire our employees as well as other companies and society as a whole to take CO2 emissions and air pollution seriously, explains Przemysław Majewski, who believes that action is needed right now.

- We are in this matter balancing on the brink of disaster and we must act now if we are to avert it. I know very well that we may have to pay a slightly higher price for the green wind energy. In return, we are helping to make an effort to reduce CO2 emissions and air pollution. We are happy to take on that responsibility, Przemysław Majewski emphasizes.
