WasteApp is a real benefit for the climate and the economy

BSB Industry has taken another initiative towards sustainability with the investment in the waste management system, WasteApp. With the app in hand, employees easily and simply order container emptying when needed, rather than on a predetermined frequency.

At BSB Industry, QHSE specialist Winnie Fedders expects WasteApp to reduce the number of waste collections by up to 25 percent.

- With our new WasteApp, we now empty the containers when needed. Previously, we could experience having half-empty containers collected. That is now a thing of the past. At BSB Industry, we expect to reduce the number of collections by 20-25 percent. This represents a remarkable gain for both the financial and sustainable bottom line because collection trucks only need to come by when necessary, explains Winnie Fedders.

WasteApp makes waste management more efficient

WasteApp is a company-customized app where BSB Industry employees can easily order waste container emptying, regardless of the waste transporter involved.

- At BSB Industry, we collaborate with several different waste transporters who specialize in different areas. Previously, we ordered through web portals, called, or wrote them. After the implementation of WasteApp, we simply tap on the image of a container, and the emptying is ordered. It is easy, time-saving, and comfortable because we have documentation readily at hand and a complete overview of all orders, explains the QHSE specialist.
